League Match 4
Harelson fielded two teams at League Match 4. Alex, Ethan, Liam, Sean, and Xander took part and gave it their all. Unfortunately, no trophies. Most players notated their games well but ongoing practice never hurts. Notating one's game is the best way to reflect, learn, and improve!

Arizona State Grades
Four Harelson Students participated in Arizona State Grades Championships (Gilbert, AZ). Ethan, Ian, Joshua, and Quinn played 5 games, competing against Arizona's best players from their grades. Ethan, Quinn, and Joshua formed a strong 4th-grade-team and finished second place in our state! Ian represented the 5th grade individual section with a solid performance with 2 out of 5.
We are gearing up for February's Tournament, League Match 4! Go Team!
League Match 3
Six Harelson players -- Andrew, Colin, Liam, Sean, Xander, Zack -- participated in League Match 3 (BASIS Oro Valley, Tucson, AZ). Two highlights of the day: Sean scored 2.5/4, gaining 100+ rating points; Xander scored 3/4 and gained 200+ points towards his rating!
All players did well! Kudos to our first-graders -- notating their games! We were able to review each game in between rounds which helped to analyze our weakness and focus on strong points!
Our sights are set on League Match 4!
